BKM Prize for Cultural Education - KUNSTRAUM Tosterglope
While living and working in Germany, I was lucky enough to work at KUNSTRAUM Tosterglope for a period of two months and document what they do there. I filmed the daily occurrences and educational aspects of the kunstverein, interviewed workers, participants, and students, and created several short trailers for the curators and owners that were submitted to the German government. This past September, KUNSTRAUM Tosterglope won the BKM Prize for Cultural Education. Short snippets of my documentation can be seen on the German government's website, as well as the KUNSTRAUM's website.

This Is Disappearing
As part of the 2011 Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Lauren Herzak-Bauman has opened a space she received from the city of Minneapolis to a group of artists to use through the month of May. It is a foreclosed home on Minneapolis' Northside. I will be performing this Saturday, May 5th during the open house from 12-4.

You can view a description of the performance, as well as the other projects in the home on Lauren's tumblr:

This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
workART Kunstverein Program
I have received a workART Kunstverein Fellowship through the University of Minnesota's Center for German and European Studies. Starting May 17th, I'll be packing my bags and heading to kunstraum tosterglope to work for six weeks.

Three weeks in between I'll be heading to documenta (13) and returning back to tosterglope.
