My work explores themes of power, control, and the body as object. The notion of safety and security over the body has come under investigation in my performance work. It walks a delicate line between choice and exploitation as well as visibility and invisibility. In my performances, I investigate different means of camouflage as well as techniques of survival. I think that some of the questions I am posing are about the control that we have over ourselves, how much agency we have over our everyday actions and how that reflects on the way others choose to see us.
